Sure, everyone has a phone and you have a million photos of your family already. But are they organized? Do you have every great shot backed up? Have you printed any? Do you have something real that you can bring out to share with future generations?
My approach to photographing families is not as a typical family photographer but as a documentarian. My joy in photographing families is seeing how you interact together naturally. So, rather than direct perfect but unnatural poses, I seek to capture both typical and special moments — with authentic emotion — as they’re occurring.
Beyond snapshots, I strive to tell the visual story of your family in this moment, while highlighting the natural beauty inherent in those moments. Because I know one day this will be a gift for someone not yet born to connect with a relative alive and younger today.
The Base
Photographer Rate
My base rate is $175 per hour.
My base half-day rate is $687 and full day is $1177
Photos are not included in the shooting rate.
Travel outside of Greater Vancouver, BC is not included.

What you want is very straight forward and standard: check the flat rate packages.
What you see is what you get. No surprises for you or me.
CUSTOMISED PACKAGES
Credit System
You want what you want. I’m happy to oblige.
For you, I created a credit system with a base package plus menu of optional extras.
You’ll pay for a package of credits up front, then you can decide what you need OR we can start shooting and use credits as we go. This is my most flexible option.
Your Family History Book
Physical documentation
I’m a bibliophile. I think books are timeless. They’re portable; they’re easily shared; when designed well, they are beautiful works of visual art. There’s also the peek-a-boo feeling when turning pages: what will be revealed next?
Picture books are great opportunities to share stories with younger family members. This is why I value family documentaries published into custom-made books. Albums are great, of course. But a book feels like a true record of history—your family’s history.
